Burt & Sue Naas Celebrate 50 Year Anniversary

Longtime Ridgway residents, Burt and Sue (Schmitt) Naas celebrated their 50th Anniversary of Marriage.  With a long day of events the celebration started in Shawneetown at the St. Mary Chapel of St. Kateri Parish with a celebration of Mass and renewal of vows with Fr. Steven Beatty offiicating.   The celebration then moved to Ridgway to the St. Kateri  Parish center with a wonderful meal, great music by the Reunion Band and many special moments throughout the night about Burt and Sue.  The crowd was huge and the event was definitely one we will remember.   Burt and Sue are very thankful for all the support from family and friends and Thank everyone for attending and the well wishes.   

 

Drone Wedding

Matt Drone and Erin Schwartz both of Evansville were united in marriage on Saturday in Evansville at the Good Shepard Catholic Church.  Matt originally from Ridgway is the son of T.A. and Kim Drone of Ridgway and Pat and Kay Drone of Ridgway.  Congrats Matt and Erin.

Dode Turns 80

Ridgway longtime resident Dora "Dode" Drone celebrated her 80th birthday in December.  She enjoyed the afternoon with family and friends at a party for her at the farm bureau building in Ridgway.   Dode is retired from many years of owning and operating The Owl's Nest.  Happy Birthday Dode!
