Right to Carry Concealed Firearm Fails

A bill that would have allowed Illinois residents to carry a concealed firearm failed in the house of representatives on Thursday.  The bill fell short of the needed 71 "yes" votes to ensure cities would have no legal authority to deny its residents the right to carry a concealed weapon.
