Area Lawmen Honored

Six area lawmen were among 31 individuals honored by U.S. Attorney Stephen Wiggington Thursday for their role in the arrest and conviction of former Gallatin County Sheriff Raymond M. Martin. Local lawmen honored included Special Agent Rick White of Fairfield, Agent Jayson Murbarger of Fairfield, S. Ill. Drug Task Force Agent Greg Hanisch, Assistant U.S. Attorney James Cutchin of Carmi, and State Police Agents Diane Coronado and Gwen Basinger.  Martin is currently serving two life sentences at a federal prison in Florida for marijuana dealing and witness tampering
